As one of the three “points” of The Research Triangle, Chapel Hill, along with Raleigh and Durham, continually receives accolades for being a top location to live and do business. In August 2012, Money magazine ranked Chapel Hill number 10 on its list of the top 100 best places to live in America. And in August 2009, Entrepreneur magazine profiled Chapel Hill as one of 10 startup-friendly cities.
Governors Club is a nationally-recognized club community built around an award-winning 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and member-owned country club. We are the Triangle’s only gated golf community and private club.
Chapel Hill is home to the University of North Carolina (UNC) and Governors Club, a 1,600-acre gated community. The area, called “The Triangle,” also includes Durham, home of Duke University, and Raleigh, the state capitol and location of North Carolina State University. It is one of the most vibrant metropolitan areas in the U.S. and is easily accessible to Governors Club residents.
Governors Club has a strong sense of community – most residents consider this their primary home and join the country club for access to golf, tennis, swimming, a wellness center, dining and more than 400 annual events for adults, children and families.
